Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

This site uses three measurement tools — Google Analytics 4 and Plausible for statistics, Meta Pixel for marketing — and none of them runs without your consent. On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept; refusing is as easy as accepting, and if you refuse (or ignore it), no measurement or marketing script is loaded. This page explains exactly what exists, both on this site and inside the app.

How consent works

No statistics or marketing runs before you click "Accept" in the banner. Your choice is stored in your browser (in localStorage) for 12 months; after that we ask again. You can change your mind at any time: the "Manage cookies" link in the footer reopens the banner and your new choice replaces the previous one. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Statistics — Google Analytics 4 and Plausible

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get the most visits, where visitors come from and which content works. GA4 sets first-party cookies in your browser (_ga and _ga_*, lasting up to 13 months) and is operated by Google Ireland Ltd.; data may be transferred to the US under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We also use Plausible Analytics, which sets no cookies and produces only aggregated, anonymous statistics. Both load only after you accept in the banner.

Marketing — Meta Pixel

With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our campaigns on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and to build ad audiences. The Pixel sets the _fbp cookie (3-month duration) and shares browsing events with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., which may also process them outside the EU under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. If you refuse in the banner, the Pixel is not loaded and no data is shared with Meta.

Cookies in the app (app.strike-os.com)

The app has a login, so it needs cookies. We use strictly necessary cookies — session and authentication, without which you cannot stay signed in — and functional preference cookies that store the language and theme (light/dark) you chose. These cookies are required to provide the service you requested (Portuguese Law 41/2004, article 5(3)) and do not require consent. Since 24/07/2026 the app also uses PostHog (product analytics and session recording, hosted in the European Union) so we can see which features are used and where users run into friction: it sets its own cookies, recordings have sensitive fields masked, and PostHog receives no data from the Google or Meta APIs. The app still has no Meta Pixel and no advertising cookies.

Managing or withdrawing consent

Use the "Manage cookies" link in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your choice. You can also delete this site's cookies and data directly in your browser — the banner reappears on your next visit. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out while it was active.

Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection provided by the GDPR. To exercise them, or for any question about this policy, write to hello@strike-os.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, CNPD (cnpd.pt). For more detail on the data we process, see the Privacy Policy.
